Board Meeting Notes for October 2026

Miata Meeting on 10/21/26

Attendees: Clyde, Robert, Renee, Brent, Tom, Aaron, and Dick.  

Absent: Toby

Meeting notes:

1. Acknowledge the resignation of Tom Bowers after serving 7 years as Membership chair. Everyone thanked him for his dedication to the club. Club leadership is looking for a new Membership chair.

2. Richard’s next brunch outing will be this Thursday October 22. Dick to followup with Richard at the brunch about his offer to continue these brunches year round.

3. Miata’s on Main Monday, October 26.

4. Aaron will be leading the Hidden Drives rally on October 31.

5. The President's Luncheon will be on January 9. Clyde will be working on the details with Toby.

6. Swag will be worked on by the group. Tom shared that he has four items,

7. Renee confirmed that she made a donation to the Red Cross and a food pantry in Franklin called Interchurches. She shared that she has received a thank you note from both organizations.

8. Tom Lewis had suggested that we try and connect with the 3 Mazda Dealerships in the area to begin to try and build a rapport with them and maybe have a Miatas on Main event at the dealerships like we did with the Hubler dealership in Greenwood. Clyde and Dick will work on this for next year. Dick has a contact at Skillman and will try to get a contact at Roush. Clyde has a contact at Hubler.

9. Tom Lewis also suggested that the board consider holding board meetings at the Miatas on Main events. We will discuss this next month.

10. The communication of the board meeting minutes was discussed as Aaron trained us on how to push out emails to all members. It was agreed that these minutes would be posted in the News as in the past and that a communication would be sent out to all with a link to the meeting minutes in the news section.

11. The next meeting will be November 16 @ 8pm on TEAMS. Anyone interested in attending should reach out to Clyde.
