INDY MIATA CLUB “Drive to Brunch” Survey Results
The following has been decided based on the survey taken:
“Drive to Brunch” is a good idea and
should be held bi-monthly.
Weekdays are preferred over weekends.
14 restaurants were suggested for future meetings.
That list will be used to decide on future locations
for the brunches.
A special request was made to have a “Ladies table” at
brunch. We will try that at the June brunch to see
how it is received.
The next “Drive to Brunch” will be in June. Details will be
announced via email to club members and posted on the
website.

Hello Everyone,
I'm Brian, the new Club President for this season! I wanted to start off by giving a hearty thank you and welcome to all our members, old and new, as we get ready to start this year's Miata season. I also want to highlight those who joined us for the President's Luncheon earlier this month! From the bottom of my heart, thank you!
Now, I'd also like to give a huge shout-out to our amazing team of Officers, whose keen administrative skill keeps the club running like a well-oiled Mazda B-engine. Strong leadership is key to any organization, so we'd like to invite any and all members interested in helping lead the club to reach out here or even just strike up a conversation with us at any of our club events!
Thank you once again for making this club what it is! I'm honored to serve as your president for 2025!
Sincerely,
Brian Long
Out of an abundance of caution due to snow and hazardous road conditions, we have decided to postpone the President's Luncheon and Annual Club Meeting.
The event is tentatively rescheduled for Saturday, January 25, at George's Neighborhood Grill (6935 Lake Plaza Drive) at the originally planned time.
NOTE: We will have confirmation from George's late Saturday night and will update you accordingly via email.
Thank you for your understanding, and we can’t wait to see you on January 25!
If you are unable to join us, please login to the club website and cancel your meal reservation. This will generate a credit to your membership account. Once the dust settles, we will reach out and request how you would like to handle the refund. Your choice would be back to your credit card or a credit on your account to use for membership renewals or club items like a hat or shirt!
Please reach out with any questions to: webmaster@indymiata.org
Stay safe,
Indy Miata Club Board
Just a reminder that do to a request from Wolfes that the arrival time is now 530pm on July 29
August 3 rally route is available on the event
The address for the cover bridge ride has been added to the event. Address is 5373 Sugar Grove Rd Plainfield IN 46168
All,
Please check out the upcoming events for some fun get togethers and rallies.
Due to the weather forecasting temperatures near 100 and high humidity on both Friday and Saturday and only 2 Miatas confirming today, I've decided to cancel this year's Marietta event.
If timing allows, I may try to reschedule the weekend towards fall. Watch the club website for additional info!

Happy March and I hope everyone is enjoying the warmer weather. We have two events coming up this month to start the year off.
Our monthly Miatas on Main meetup will be resuming on Monday, March 27th at the Big Woods in Speedway. I'm excited to see everyone's cars out of winter hibernation for conversation and dinner that evening.

I think one of my favorite things about driving the Miata is the way a lot of folks faces light up when they see it. These little cars have a knack for spreading joy and as a club we have the opportunity to do the same here in our hometown of Indianapolis. We are making an effort as a club to get into the habit of giving back to our community.
To that end, we made some monetary contributions to local charitable organizations near the end of last year. We want to further that effort by getting hands-on and helping out those in need around our city. Indy Miata Club will be volunteering at Sheltering Wings in Danville, which provides emergency shelter for survivors of domestic abuse.
As of right now, the plan is to help them clean up their landscaping for the spring but there will be other tasks available if you are not comfortable with that work. We will have more specifics available by mid-March but for now please register and block out a few hours that morning to make a difference. Let's show the same love to our community that we have for our cars!
Wishing you the best regards and many zoom-zooms,
Alex Griffith President
